MONTANA (GaeaTimes.com) — According to reports, 15 wolves from five different packs preying on livestock have been killed by Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks officials and 18 more wolves are to be killed by the authority.

15 wolves from west of Missoula, north of Missoula, east fork of the Bitterroot, north of Wisdom, north of Helmville, and north of Wolf Creek were killed between May 17 and May 21.

Liz Bradley, wolf management specialist for Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks says that the state is taking controlled action since wolves have been there for long decades.

44 wolves have been shot by federal agents so far this year in Montana while another 20 wolves were either killed by car or died from unknown reasons.
