Fla. estate battle features $3M for pet Chihuahuas
MIAMI — Conchita, Lucia and April Marie are used to a luxurious life in an island mansion. With a $3 million trust fund from an heiress, they’ll never have to worry about a thing. What sets them apart is that they’re Chihuahuas.
The dogs are part of a bitter battle over the estate of Gail Posner, daughter of late corporate raider Victor Posner. Gail Posner’s only surviving child, 46-year-old Bret Carr, claims his mother was coerced into changing her will by employees while suffering from cancer and drug addiction.
Carr got only $1 million in his mother’s will, while employees received $27 million. Some live in the seven-bedroom Sunset Island mansion with the Chihuahuas.
The will provides for the Chihuahuas to live in the mansion until they die.
