Shy, Unity and Bean - pets’ names are now kids’ names in UK!

LONDON - Britain has the reputation for bizarre trends - and the latest one tops them all.
Children are no more named Olivia or Jack, they are now Shy, Unity and Bean, according to the new UK survey.
Rooney, Bowie and Cobain are influences from the football world, while Stone, Gift, Heaven and Echo come from the hippy style.
Fashion is not left behind, with names like Denim, Diesel and Armani.
“The majority of parents polled said their unusual choice was because they didn’t want their child to share anyone else’s name,” The Daily Mail quoted Faye Mingo, spokesman for Bounty Parenting Club, which carried out the survey, as saying.
While 66 percent claimed their choice for their child was unusual, one in ten regretted their decision to veer from the norm.
And 14 per cent have asked to change it already.
Some even believe that kids named Robert, David or Jennifer are likely to be bullied in school or college.
And six out of ten claim there is nothing wrong with a sensible name, saying those who make ‘original’ choices are being selfish and aren’t thinking of the child. (ANI)
