Ohio executes man who killed 2 at warehouse in ‘91

LUCASVILLE, Ohio — Ohio has executed a man who murdered two former co-workers and wounded a third in a rampage at a pet supply company.

Prison officials say 38-year-old Roderick Davie died by lethal injection at 10:31 a.m. Tuesday.

Davie had confessed to the 1991 murders and attempted killing that came several months after he was fired from the business in Warren, in northeast Ohio.

William Everett, the man who survived being shot in the head, was among the witnesses to the execution.

Davie is the seventh person to be put to death in Ohio this year, tying a record that the state set in 2004. The execution is the 40th in the state since Ohio resumed executions in 1999.
