Drunken Aussie tries to ride monster croc

MELBOURNE - A tourist in Western Australia has luckily survived after climbing into a crocodile enclosure in Broome and battling with a male 5m predator.
The man reportedly from the eastern states, was ejected from a local tavern before climbing the fence of a Broome crocodile park and entering the enclosure of the giant crocodile named Fatso.
According to Perthnow, the police said that the man wanted to touch the crocodile and tried to sit on its back.
The crocodile took exception and attacked the drunken trespasser, who managed to escape with serious injuries to his right leg.
“For some reason he’s made a decision to climb the fence into the crocodile park, where an almost five-meter male crocodile was living,” News.com.au quoted Roger Hayne Broome Police Sergeant as telling ABC radio.
“He appears to have wanted to touch that crocodile and sit on its back, and the crocodile has taken offence to that and bitten him on the right leg.
“He’s absolutely lucky to be alive, this is a large male saltwater crocodile, who aren’t renowned for letting people escape once they’ve got hold of them,” Haynes said.
Broome police said it was a miracle the man is alive, but he could face charges of trespassing in the crocodile park, which was surrounded by a high cyclone fence that the man climbed to gain entry. (ANI)
