KUALA LUMPUR - After staying with the deadly snakes for 30 days, it was a triumph for a Malaysian woman when she walked out of their shared glass cubicle without a single bite.

Puteri Nur Ariyani Saiful Yazan was apparently in high spirits after ending her stay with more than 100 snakes at the state museum.

“I was very lucky at not being bitten by the snakes. It feels good to be safe,” New Straits Times Online quoted her as saying.

The 24-year-old capped her achievement by kissing the head of a king cobra as the last group of visitors to the snake exhibition gave her a rousing applause.

She said the only anxious moments were when she fainted last week and had to be rushed to the hospital for outpatient treatment.

“I think it was the stress of staying in the cage for so long,” said the snake-charmer from Sungai Petani, Kedah.

“All I want now is to go home and see my two sons whom I miss very much,” she said. (ANI)
